The Mosquito is apparently working well in parts of Oxfordshire.
The device lets out a high-pitched sound, which only young people can hear, and has been used effectively in dispersing troublemakers from shopping centres.
Yet the Children's Commissioner for England, Prof Sir Albert Aynsley-Green, is calling for it to be banned arguing that it infringes young people's rights.
What nonsense. If the Mosquito stops young people causing mayhem, let's have more of them.
Sir Albert's campaign for the device to be withdrawn is entitled Buzz Off. Perhaps that should apply to him.
