King Alfred's, Wantage, came within a whisker of winning the south west regional final of the ESFA Under 12 Indoor 5-a-Side Cup at Fareham.
Having battled through five games, they were leading 2-1 in the final against Clere (Newbury) only to concede two goals in the last 90 seconds to lose 3-2.
George Thatcher scored both King Alfred's goals, but Clere's late rally means they go through to the national final in Derby.
In the semi-finals, King Alfred's edged past Haute Valley 3-2.
They had earlier remained undefeated in their group games, opening up by beating Kennet 3-1, before brushing aside Emmanuel 4-0, with James Glover scoring all four.
A Thatcher double then gave King Alfred's a 2-2 draw against Burford, before they overcame Hroed Park 3-1.
