POLICE this afternoon appealed for information following an assault at the Shelley Arms pub in Cricket Road, Oxford.
A man was in the toilets at the pub when another man came in and punched him in the face.
The victim suffered a fractured eye socket, a fractured cheek bone and bruising.
The assault happened at about 1am on Sunday, February 3.
PC David Rogers said: "This happened in a busy pub and there are people who might have seen this happen. I am keen to speak to anyone who may be a witness and urge they contact me."
The man who assaulted the victim is described as about 6ft 2in to 6ft 3in tall, well built, white, clean shaven, with dark hair. He is thought to be between 20-25 years old.
