More and more people are beginning to realise that cider is both delicious and refreshing. A huge variety of traditional ciders are now easily available to try - and many micro-breweries are springing up to produce cider. Here are three of my favourites.
Dunkerton's Premium Organic ABV 6.8% RRP £1.79 The apples that create this delicious golden cider are old varieties that come from Dunkerton's own organic orchard and processed in an old-fashioned press. The result is a smooth, semi-sweet well-rounded and very satisfying drink.
Wychwood Green Goblin Cider ABV 6.0% RRP £1.72 This bitter-sweet, carbonated cider is produced in partnership with Thatchers, the fine cider makers from Somerset who use several classic varieties of English cider apples to create this full-bodied drink, which is matured in 100-year-old oak vats for a crisp refreshing burst of rich flavours.
Aspall Dry Premier Cru Suffolk Cyder ABV 7% RRP £1.70 An award-winning sparkling cider with a delightful apple aroma and light refreshing tang delivers a remarkably dry aromatic Champagne finish.
All these ciders are available at Waitrose
