A 60-year-old cyclist suffered life-threatening injuries following a collision with a scooter in Burford last night.
The collision happened at about 6.20pm on the B4020 Shilton Road towards Carterton.
Police said the cyclist had stopped to allow two cars to pass before turning right into the Barley Lane Bed and Breakfast when he was involved in the collision.
Sgt Jack Hawkins, of Bicester Roads Policing Department, said: "The man was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
"A 19-year-old woman who was driving the scooter received minor injuries.
"I am particularly keen to speak to the drivers of the two cars that passed the cyclist at that junction as they may be able to assist our inquiries."
