ANOTHER coronavirus death has been recorded in Oxford in the last week.

A total of 209 people have now died in the area from when the UK coronavirus dashboard was updated on yesterday (20)– up from 208 a week previously.

They were among a total of 23,563 deaths recorded across the South East.

The figures include anyone who died within 28 days of a positive test result for Covid-19, and whose usual residence was in Oxford.

The UK Health Security Agency is now reporting the latest coronavirus statistics weekly, in line with typical schedules for other respiratory infections as a part of the Government's Living with Covid strategy.

There are currently about 406 people with covid in South Oxfordshire, 327 in West Oxfordshire, and 383 in Oxford.
