GRAFFITI artwork in the style of Banksy has appeared in an Oxfordshire town.

The piece has been spotted at bus stops by the Sainsbury’s in Manorsfield Road, Bicester.

Steve Cullen shared photos he had taken with the Bicester Advertiser, and said: “Street art can still be powerful and beautiful in a gallery, but an essential piece of it is lost by disconnecting it from its natural setting and locking it in a confined and controlled space.

“Street art belongs in public, which is only emphasised here with the excitement it has raised amongst local residents.”

An image of the artwork was also posted in the Bicester Chat group on Facebook.

Peter Pentz commented: “This is great work, whoever the graffiti artist is. I love it.”

Kat Clarke added: “There are a lot of replicas out there now. We can say it’s our bit of Banksy and the best bit of graffiti we have.”
