Youngsters at Kings Meadow School, Bicester, spent a week making sculptures from unusual materials.
Earth, water, straw, flour, grain and stale bread were among the items they used after a visit by Oxford sculptor Martin Jennings.

Pictured left to right in 1990 are Barry Tweddle, Robert Brown, Alex Rothero and Chris Clarke, who were among 40 pupils aged nine to 11 who took part in the project.

Mr Jennings, who spent a week at the school as part of Oxford Artweek, said: “The aim of the work was to give the children an enjoyable time learning about sculpture making with unusual and challenging materials.”
