Conservative MP Robert Courts has thrown his support behind his boss Grant Shapps, believing he would be a candidate for Prime Minister.
Mr Courts, the Witney & West Oxfordshire MP and under-secretary of state for transport, was quizzed about Boris Johnson’s resignation as Prime Minister on BBC’s Newsnight yesterday evening by Kirsty Wark.

When asked who he will be supporting in the leadership race, he said: “I think we need someone who has got experience, someone who able to campaign and someone who is able to deliver, like Grant Shapps.”
Mr Shapps, secretary of state for transport and MP for Welwyn Hatfield, is considering ‘throwing his hat into the ring’ for the top job, according to BBC News.
