EXCITEMENT levels are at an all time high as Oxfordshire’s biggest rock and pop gathering, Truck Festival, is taking place this month.
I have been to every festival held since the age of 17 and one thing that has always got me ready and raring to go is the festival’s Twitter account.

Filled with memes, jokes, and sarcasm, I have always wondered who the creative genius behind the account is.
Luckily for me, I managed to bag an exclusive interview with the anonymous tweeter behind Oxfordshire’s funniest festival account…
Tell us a bit about yourself
- I am the Truck Festival social media admin running all social! I've been with Truck for just over eight years now, and I've got to admit, it's mostly fun.
What is your favourite part of the job?
- My genuine favourite part is the audience and the little community we have going here. Not many people can go to work and mostly make fun of their own customers. It's great!
Do your friends and family know the popularity you bring to Twitter account?
- They absolutely do, but it's mainly a polite pat on the back and ruffle of the hair.
What is the funniest tweet you’ve ever received?
- I always loved when a completely random teenager, with no experience, would ask for a DJ set on the main stage. We were obviously more than happy to oblige - for them to make a fool of themselves. But that's what it's all about, right?
How do you choose which ones to interact with?
- Anything that will get a laugh, or make me feel better about myself

Any advice for people who want a shout out?
- Be silly, don't take yourself so seriously.
Have you ever thought about revealing yourself?
- I think it's best for all involved that I don't, you'd be so disappointed. I like the indie-enigma
Why do you think people enjoy the content so much?
- Because I'm so personal. I think most people can see through this weird blur lined of 'consumer and brand', and I don't like that. We're all people at the end of the day.
Do you prefer a meme or a gif?
- Give me a meme any day of the week.
What are you looking forward to the most at this years festival?
- People, actual people! Three years is a lonnggg time away from Hill Farm and for a lot of people, three years is a long time to hold onto a ticket - I fully admire everyone's patience. Also, Sam Fender is going to go off!
How do you keep yourself busy outside of the festival season?
- Doing this - ha! Organising, although admittedly a little quiet this past few years, Truck is a full blown 9-5 job - it's a common misconception we just twiddle our thumbs come August
Can we receive any clue of who you are?
- I think it's best for all involved that we don't do this. But if anyone ever does, mine's a Guinness
