Drivers in and around Oxford will have four National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

But motorists will be able to take some solace in the fact that all of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• A34, from 10pm June 23 to 6am August 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 northbound and southbound, Peartree to Islip, diversion route only for Oxfordshire County Council works.

• A34, from 8pm June 1 2022 to 6am March 31 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 northbound and southbound, Peartree Interchange, major works advance warning signage only for Oxfordshire County Council works.

And a further two closures will begin over the next seven days:

• A34, from 8pm July 4 to 6am July 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 northbound and southbound, Peartree Interchange, Lane closures on the exit slips for Oxfordshire County Council works.

• A34, from midnight, July 11 2022 to 11.59pm March 31 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 northbound and southbound, Peartree Interchange, Lane closures on the exit slips for Oxfordshire County Council works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
