The Royal Air Force showcased its striking aircraft this week.
A glimpse at breadth of their capabilities occurred at RAF Brize Norton in West Oxfordshire, as it hosted the annual Air Combat Power Visit for UK and International students enrolled on the advanced command and staff course.
Aviators from Combat Air, ISTAR (Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition, and Reconnaissance), Air Mobility, Force Protection, Support Force, UK Space Command, Joint Helicopter Command and the Joint Force Air Component came together for demonstrations and discussion of capabilities and operations.
The myriad of aircraft gave photographers a unique chance to capture a distinctive lineup, not just during the day but also at night.
On show was the Globemaster (C17) and Atlas A400M military transport planes, as well as a Chinook from RAF Odiham and a Puma HC.Mk 2 helicopter.
