It's good news week for Rose Hill.

We reported yesterday that the primary school on the Oxford estate had received a boost with the news that it was in line to be included in the Government's Fresh Start scheme.

Today, we disclose that the dispersal zone, allowing police to move on any group of people causing a nuisance, is to be lifted.

The atmosphere on the streets has improved so much that the regulation is no longer needed.

We hope, however, that the lifting of the zone will not lead to police and community support officers reducing patrols.

The danger is that once the troublemakers realise the guard is down, they will start causing mayhem again.

We hope, for everyone's sake, that this does not happen.
