NEW parking restrictions are to be introduced in more than two dozen roads in Bicester.
The delegated decision was made by Oxfordshire County Council’s cabinet member for highway management, Andrew Gant.
The councillor was recommended to approve the ‘no waiting at any time’ restrictions by officers, although one road was removed from the list, following concerns raised by a public speaker at the meeting.

Devi Lingam, who has lived in Newport Terrace since 2013, said: “There are insufficient permit holder bays being provided for Newport Terrace, Manchester Terrace, Bath Terrace and 51-54 Victoria Road.
“Residents of these addresses pay for annual permits, however there are more residents with permits than spaces allocated.
“For at least nine years, if not longer, residents have been able to use the unmarked space on Victoria Court as overspill parking.
“Many residents have families with young children and some are elderly, so this extra capacity is very important to them.
“I wish to query the assertion that these proposals won’t have any effect on the existing parking arrangements.
“Additional permit holder bays are desperately needed.”
