THIS week two dogs have been rescued from boiling hot cars.
Workers at Cherwell District Council's safety teams were called to two jobs this week where dogs were left in cars.
In a warning to drivers, the council wrote on Twitter: "A car can get as hot as an oven, even when the weather doesn't feel warm.
"If you see a dog trapped in a car and they're showing any signs of heatstroke call 999 at once."

Every year the RSPCA relentlessly warns drivers that dogs can die in hot cars in just 20 minutes.
Winding down a window is not enough to help your dog survive.
The animal charity even urged passers by to dial 999 if they see a pet in distress.
It says: “A car can become as hot as an oven very quickly, even when it doesn’t feel that warm.
“When its 22 degrees, in a car it can reach an unbearable 47 degrees within the hour.”
