A teen has been charged with wounding with intent after a 14-year-old boy was stabbed in Blackbird Leys.

The alleged victim was allegedly attacked in Samphire Road at around 4pm on Tuesday, June 14.

The boy, who was found in nearby Coltsfoot Square, remains in hospital in a stable condition.

A 16-year-old Oxford boy, arrested in the wake of the stabbing, has been charged with wounding with intent. He is due before Oxford Youth Court this morning.

Two other 16-year-old boys and another boy, 15, arrested on suspicion of attempted murder have been released on police bail. They are expected to return to the police station to answer bail on July 13.
