A PUB worker had an arm broken after he was attacked by a man with a baseball bat in Littlemore.
The assault happened after a man was ejected from The Blue Mile Pub in Cowley Road yesterday afternoon for his drunken behaviour.
He later returned at about 10.50pm, as the pub was closing, claiming he had left behind his mobile phone.
A member of staff showed him to the door and as they stepped outside, a second man was waiting outside and hit the 40-year-old member of staff with a baseball bat.
Det Con Robert France, of Oxford CID, said: "The victim's arm was broken in the attack.
"It is believed the man who was ejected from the pub tried to start a fight in the afternoon with a punter. I appeal to this person to come forward with any information they may have about this man."
The man who was ejected from the pub was white, aged between 25 and 30, about 5ft and of medium build. He was wearing a green jacket, jeans and trainers and had a beard.
The man who assaulted the member of staff was white and was wearing a white woolly hat.
Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact Det Con Robert France at St Aldates police station via 0845 8 505 505. If you do not want to speak to police and do not want to leave your name contact the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
