People living in Oxfordshire can expect sizzling weather this week, with temperatures hotter than popular a number of popular holiday spots.
The mercury will climb steadily throughout the week before hitting a balmy 29°C on Friday.

On Friday, Oxfordshire will soar above that of Santa Cruz de Tenerife in Tenerife which will be just 24°C.
Temperatures in the county on that day will also be hotter than Lisbon in Portugal (25°C) and San Marino in Italy (24°C).
The weather this week in Oxfordshire:
Today:
After a cool start it will be a mostly fine and dry day, with large amounts of cloud around, but also some sunny spells developing in the afternoon.
Less windy than on Sunday and feeling warm in any sunnier spells.
Maximum temperature 23 °C.
Tonight:
Staying dry, with variable amounts of cloud and clear spells overnight.
Turning locally cool in some rural spots, with light winds.
Minimum temperature 6 °C.
Tuesday:
After a cool start in places, it will be a fine and dry day, with lengthy spells of sunshine.
Feeling much warmer than on Monday, with light winds.
Maximum temperature 25 °C.
Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:
Staying fine and dry throughout the period, with variable amounts of cloud and some lengthy spells of sunshine.
Becoming very warm, or potentially hot by Thursday and Friday.
