I wish to thank you for publishing the obituary on Win Peters, the Oxford bus conductress, driver and inspector (Oxford Mail, January 24).

I was a friend of Win's, having worked with her at City of Oxford Motor Services for more than 30 years.

We spent many happy years on holidays together.

I am in constant touch with her son, Steven, who now lives in Gozo, in Malta.

I was thinking of putting a letter of remembrance in the Oxford Mail, but someone beat me to it - so thank you.
