A WILDLIFE rescue charity saved a fox which was founded collapsed and non-responsive.
The ambulance team at Oxfordshire Wildlife Rescue, based in Didcot, found the animal laying by a fence in “serious trouble” on Tuesday (7).
Luke Waclawek, founder of the charity, said the fox was “cold, non-responsive, and very weak”.

He said: “Once she arrived at the hospital, our veterinary team perform triage and began immediate first aid for hypovolemic and hypothermic shock.
“Her heart rate was almost nothing, her blood pressure was nearly unidentifiable, and her breathing was severely laboured.
“To add to her problems, she was also covered in flystrike. Thankfully they managed to find a viable vein for IV fluid therapy and she was gently warmed to slowly bring her body temperature back up.
“She is very lucky to be alive, the prognosis for her wasn't at all great, however her condition has started to improve this morning.
“The team will be carrying out tests to try and find out why she was so poorly. But for now, she is on strong painkillers due to her tender stomach region and getting lots of rest in a warm hospital bed.”
Mr Waclawek has now urged people to donate to the charity which is publicly funded.
