The names of the Oxfordshire post offices which face the axe has been officially released.
The Post Office is proposing to close 22 branches across the county and replace a further five in west Oxfordshire with mobile vans which could visit at set times for "restricted hours" each week.
The Post Offices earmarked for closure are: Ardington; Begbroke; Childrey; Combe; Crowmarsh; Dalton Barracks, Abingdon; Farmoor; Fyfield; Grandpont, Oxford; Grimsbury, Banbury ; Church Way, Iffley, Oxford; Villiers Road, Bicester; Long Wittenham; Orchard Way, Banbury; Stanmore Crescent, Carterton; Stanton St John; Upton; West End, Witney; Godstow Road, Wolvercote; Wootton, near Woodstock; Wootton Road, Abingdon; and Wytham.
The five west Oxfordshire branches proposed for replacement solutions' are: Chadlington, Enstone, Great Rollright, Great Tew and Tackley.
A six-week consultation period on the proposals starts today and people have until Monday, March 17, to comment.
