HEMED SHARIFF, 43, of Nowell Road, Oxford, pleaded guilty to damaging doors. He was given a community order with the Building Better Relationships programme and must pay £180 in costs and surcharge. A restraining order limits his contact with the victim for two years. He must pay £70 in compensation.
STEVEN COX, 46, of Partridge Close, Didcot, pleaded guilty to two assaults by beating. The court record noted that he had used his head as a weapon and grabbed one victim’s throat. He was jailed for 18 weeks and must pay a £128 victim surcharge.
DANIEL WADE, 44, of Abbots Lane, Coventry, was jailed for eight weeks for breaching a restraining order by telephoning a woman in Banbury.
SHA CHOWDHURY, 54, of Laburnum Road, Botley, admitted failing to tell the council that he was no longer eligible for a reduced council tax rate because his earnings had increased. He wrongly claimed the reduced rate from 2017 until 2021. He was fined £500 and ordered to pay £400 in costs and surcharge.
AMAR KACEM, 39, of Cowley Road, Oxford, was fined £200 for having 23.5kgs of shisha waterpipe tobacco in packaging that did not have health warnings on it. One lot of 100g of the tobacco had the trademarked logo for soft drink Irn-Bru. The tobacco was found at the Zaid Supermarket in Cowley Road in December 2020 by the council. He must pay £134 in costs and surcharge.
SADEQUL HAQUE, 39, of Grasmere Way, Higham Ferrers, breached a non-molestation order by sending a WhatsApp screenshot and two emails. He admitted the offence and was fined £100 and must pay a £34 victim surcharge.
ANTHONY MARTIN, 42, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to breaching his criminal behaviour order in Henley on January 29 by lying in the road and obstructing traffic while under the influence of alcohol. He was also dealt with for lying in Turl Street, Oxford, on April 5. He was given a 60 day alcohol abstinence tag as part of a community order.
RYAN MEECHAN, 18, of Market End Way, Bicester, pleaded guilty to two counts of assault by beating. The magistrates gave him an 84 day alcohol abstinence tag and a restraining order banning him from going to a property in Blackthorn Road, Didcot, for two years. He must pay £395 in costs and surcharge.
NINA PADDOCK, 37, of New Road, Watlington, admitted drink driving a Ford Mondeo on Bosley Way, Wallingford, on March 13. She had 138mcgs of alcohol in 100ml of breath – four times the legal limit. She must do 80 hours of unpaid work and up to 10 rehabilitation requirement days. She was banned from driving for 30 months and ordered to pay £180 in costs and surcharge.
SEAN SMITH, 35, of St Marks Road, Stourbridge, pleaded guilty to common assault in Hythe Bridge Street, Oxford, at the start of April. He was given a six month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £100 in compensation.
EVE GOLDSMITH, 43, of Kings Row, Stokenchurch, admitted drink driving a VW Golf on Abingdon Road, Oxford, on April 15. She had 43mcgs of alcohol in 100ml of breath, just over the limit. She was fined £250, banned from the roads for a year and must pay £119 in costs and surcharge.
JAMES VEALE, 26, of White Road, Oxford, pleaded guilty to using disorderly behaviour in Oxford on April 16. He was given a six month conditional discharge and must pay £107 in costs and surcharge.
