Waste collections will be suspended over the double bank holiday (Thursday 2 and Friday 3 June) and collection days will change over the following fortnight.
Councillor Lidia Arciszewska, Cabinet Member for Environment, said: “We are pleased that Ubico’s refuse and recycling crews will also have the opportunity to take part in the celebrations and get to spend time with their families and friends to mark this momentous occasion."
Householders are encouraged to download a copy of their property’s annual waste calendar which lists all the planned changes to their collection schedule throughout the year from the WODC website.
Street cleansing teams will be oworking and household recycling centres including Dix Pit at Stanton Harcourt, will open as normal.
Go to www.westoxon.gov.uk/bins-and-recycling/check-your-collection-day/ or call the council’s customer services team on 01993 861000 to request a hard copy of your property's revised collection dates.
Waste and recycling services will return to normal from Monday 20 June.
