A YELLOW weather warning has been issued for Oxford as thunderstorms are set to hit the city.
According to the Met Office, Oxford could see thunderstorms today and tomorrow and it has issued a yellow warning for the South East of England.
The Met office has said the thunderstorm may bring disruption to travel. In the weather warning it highlights sudden flooding and spray could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures.

The warning adds that lightning or flooding could lead to delays and cancellations of public transport or flood homes and businesses.
This afternoon temperatures are set to hit 21 degrees with lows of 12 degrees as heavy rain is predicted to start at 9pm and continue until midnight.

The Met office weather forecast also shows light showers from 7pm this evening.
The yellow weather warning remains in place for tomorrow, but temperatures remain at 20 degrees with sunny spells throughout the day.
