Plans have been submitted to Oxford City Council to build a new industrial site, which promises to bring jobs to the area.
The applicant, CMP Architects on behalf of Buccleuch Property and Wrenbridge Land, has applied for full planning permission to redevelop the former Gas Holder site in Oxford Road, Cowley, which is set to be demolished.

In the planning documents, the applicant stated the aim is to redevelop and regenerate the site by creating a ‘flexible and efficient building to suit modern market requirements’.
The revamped site would be used for general industrial processes and research and development of products or processes.
The applicant believes the site would generate jobs to the area, as well as allow businesses to ‘flourish’.
