A former Abingdon man attacked a neighbour, a court heard.
Steven Hermon, 50, assaulted the man in John Morris Road on July 20, 2020.
He had been due to stand trial at Oxford Crown Court this week on a charge of causing actual bodily harm.

But after Judge Ian Pringle QC indicated, following a request from the defendant’s lawyers, that he would not impose a prison sentence Hermon pleaded guilty to the offence.
The judge adjourned the case for the preparation of a pre-sentence report by the probation service.
Hermon was granted unconditional bail to return to the crown court for sentencing on June 17.
Kellie Enever, defending, told the judge that her client was of previous good character and had moved to Wales since the incident.
