A MAN has been charged with assault after a man was hit in the face with a knuckleduster outside a supermarket.
Christian Ellis-Leachman, 18, of Farmers Close, Witney, was charged on Thursday (May 5) with one count of assault by beating in connection with an incident, which occurred on 30 November last year.
The victim, an 18-year-old man, was approached by a group of men near to the Co-op store in High Street at just before 3.15pm on November 30 and was hit in the face with an item believed to be a knuckleduster.

The victim attended hospital for treatment to a broken nose.
Ellis-Leachman was arrested on January 20 and charged via postal requisition yesterday.

He will appear before Oxford Magistrates’ Court on June 7.
