Drivers were fined hundreds of pounds last month for speeding on roads with a 50mph speed limit.
Four drivers were caught speeding on the A40 Northern Bypass Road in north oxford which has a speed limit of 50 mph.
Adam Dominic Lowe, 35 of Netherwoods Road in Headington appeared at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on April 26 after driving 58 mph. His guilty plea was taken into consideration, and he was fined £100. Lowe was endorsed with three points on his driving licence.

Lee Robert Holden, 43 of Girdlestone Road in Oxford was caught driving at 65 mph. He pleaded guilty at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on April 26 and was fined £100. Holden was also endorsed with three points on is driving licence.
Margaret Amies, 50 of Piddington appeared at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on April 26 for speeding at 62 mph. Her guilty plea was taken into consideration when imposing a sentence and she was fined £100. Amies was also endorsed with three points on her driving licence.

Jayne Alexandra Durbin, 50 of Powys Grove in Banbury appeared at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on April 26 and pleaded guilty after she was caught driving at 66 mph. Durbin’s guilty plea was taken into consideration when imposing a sentence, she was fined £100 and endorsed with three points on her driving licence.
