A YOUNG actress from Oxfordshire is starring in a short horror film set to be released this year.
Anna Wright, from East Hendred between Wantage and Didcot, was cast in ZMORA which has already received nine awards.
The film, which was shot in Wroxton College in Banbury, is described as “a character-driven ghost story and the friendships of a dynamic ensemble cast”.

It is about a group of friends who are spending the weekend at an old manor house but there is a haunted diary and “a vengeful spiriting awaiting them”.
Miss Wright stars as Elana in the 23-minute film alongside Calypso Bressan, Finn Harkin, Eleanor Hayward, Gabriele Dentoni and more.
She was cast from APA Talent, which is a talent agency based in Banbury Road, Oxford, along with the other young cast members.
Melissa D’Amico, founder of APA Talent, organised the project and continues to “champion and support” young performers with similar endeavours.
The film, produced by Black Elk Productions and directed by Jason Farries, has been praised for providing a platform to showcase the young creatives abilities.

It has already received nine awards including Best Horror at the Florence Film Awards in Italy, Best Mystery Short at the Independent Shorts Aways in LA, and had an honourable mention at the London Movie Awards.
