Oxford Magistrates’ Court heard the woman allegedly returned home on April 30 to find that her flat had been turned upside down and her underwear cut up.
Appearing before the justices on Bank Holiday Monday, Ahmed, of Swinburne Road, Oxford, entered no formal pleas to charges of burglary, stalking with intent to cause fear of violence, criminal damage and assault by beating.
His solicitor, Richard Demczak, indicated the charges were denied.
The magistrates remanded him in custody to appear before Oxford Crown Court on May 27 for a plea and trial preparation hearing.
