THREE bus services serving Oxford’s hospitals are set to become just one in a matter of weeks.
Stagecoach has announced the 700, 800 and 900 services will combine to become just the 700 route, on May 9.
The redesigned service will begin earlier and finish later to better support NHS staff, patients and hospital visitors.
The service will also operate to a new route with the extended hours.

From May 9, the new route will serve Kidlington, Oxford Parkway park and ride, John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford Brookes University, Churchill Hospital, Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, and Thornhill park and ride.
The Stagecoach website states journeys currently available on the 800 and 900 from Thornhill park and ride will be replaced with the revised 700.
The website adds: “The timetable will be extending with earlier and later departures to better suit shift times for staff and make it easier for people visiting patients.”
In a statement, Stagecoach said: “The services have been combined as Stagecoach continues to work with Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Oxfordshire County Council to discuss the network requirements for the future.”
Rachel Geliamassi, managing director at Stagecoach West, said: “At Stagecoach, we are proud to support our local NHS workers in the important work that they do across our Oxfordshire hospitals.”
