An Oxford painter’s work developed during the pandemic will go on display as part of Oxfordshire Art Weeks 2022.
Jon Rowland will be showcasing his work in an exhibition called ‘Recollections of Place’ at Sewell gallery at Radley College.
On the artist’s website he explains that although these paintings emerged during lockdown, they do not portray the horrors of Covid.

He said: “They show an unconscious response to it and to the rules that were put in place.”
He added: “There are several parts to the exhibition; my responses to the impact of Coronavirus from lockdown to tentative release to being allowed to travel; and some of the landscapes we visited, here, in Scotland and in France.”
The exhibition will open on April 22 and run until May 22.
