An adorable puppy has been appointed as ‘happiness officer’ in a care home and is winning over residents’ hearts.
New recruit Winnie the golden retriever puppy is creating quite a stir at Chawley Grove Care Home in Cumnor, her job description is to give residents and staff lots of cuddles and kisses.

Winnie, aged just four months, belongs to Home Manager Michelle Daly who will be accompanied to the home by the puppy three days a week. She said: “The residents’ families are delighted to know that Winnie is around to provide company and cheer to their loved ones, and she’s been known to join in during their visits.”
Resident Gill Malcom-Davies, aged 86, said she was delighted to see the new recruit and loved watching her play.
