Police have now said a 15-year old boy was arrested on suspicion of wounding/inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent and has since been released on bail.
At the time of the incident, a spokesperson for Aureus School said: "One student incurred a minor injury following an incident at Aureus School on Monday. It is not appropriate for us to share any further details currently as this is an ongoing police matter."
A spokesperson for GLF Schools, the multi-academy trust that Aureus is part of, added: "All appropriate procedures were followed when responding to this incident, with the parents of those students involved, police and the local authority informed."
