An Oxfordshire man captured the hilarious moment a bird started 'defending its territory' against its own reflection.
David Brown noticed a blue tit squaring up to itself after glimpsing its own reflection in his car mirror a week ago.
The retiree in his 70s from Kidlington said: "At first I thought it might be trying to mate with its reflection, but I told my friend and he pointed out that it was more likely that the Blue Tit was defending its territory.

"Since then I have had to put a cloth over the mirror to stop it, and he and his mate have been building their nest in my garden."
To capture the moment, he set up his video camera.
In the film, the bird can be seen flapping around the car mirror, and seems perplexed when it notices there is no other bird behind it.
Mr Brown has worked at both Oxford University Press and Gosford Hill School, in Kidlington where he is based, but is now retired and enjoys watching the wildlife in his garden.
