Seven schools in Oxfordshire have announced emergency school closures today or in the next couple of days.
The schools announced part closure to pupils and parents on the Oxfordshire County Council website.
Most said staff sickness was the reason for these emergency closures.
Here is a full list:
- Bardwell School - has 6 partial class closures today due to staff absences. School staff have contacted all families directly with further information. The six classes are as follows: Class 2 - Year 1/2/3 mixed cohort, Class 5 - Year 5/6 mixed cohort, Class 6 - Year 6/7 mixed cohort, Class 7 - Year 7/8 mixed cohort, Class 8 - Year 8/9 mixed cohort & Class 10 - Year 11 cohort.
- Cherry Fields Primary School - The nursery Class is closed from 30th March and will re-open on 5th April. This is due to staff sickness.
- Chilton Primary School- The Nursery Class is closed this week due to staff sickness, from March 28 until April 1.
- Longfields Primary School and Nursery- Due to staff sickness, Year 1 classes will undertake remote learning on 1st April.
- Longford Park Primary School- The Nursery (Froebel class) is closed 30th March - 1st April 2022, due to staff sickness. It will re-open on Monday.
- The Cooper School- Year 7 will be closed on 1st April due to staff sickness.
- St John's Catholic Primary School, Banbury - St. John's School Banbury will need to partially close some classes and revert to online learning on Monday 4th and Tuesday 5th April . This only affects Years,3/4. This is due to drain/sewerage issues.
