SIX schools in Oxfordshire have announced emergency school closures today.
The schools announced part closure to pupils and parents on the Oxfordshire County Council website.
All sited staff sickness as the reason for these emergency closures, one explicitly noting Covid-19 as the cause.
These are:
- All Saints Church of England (Aided) Primary School- The reception class is closed from 22nd March - 25th March 2022 due to staff shortages.
- Barley Hill Primary School- Due to staff sickness, Y4 Giraffes are moving to remote learning on Thursday and Friday (24th & 25th March) and Y2 Hedgehogs on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday (23rd, 24th and 25th March 2022).
- Burford School- The school will be closed to Year 12 students (only) on Wednesday 23rd and Thursday 24th March 2022, due to high levels of staff absence.
- Fitzharrys School- Due to high levels of COVID-19 related staff absence and lack of cover/supply, our year 10 students are working remotely 24th March
- Frank Wise School- The 1st Family Group, 6th Family Group and The Griffiths Centre will be partially closed until at least 25th March due to staff illness. (The 6th Family Group was partially closed from 22nd March)
- St Mary's Church of England Primary School, Banbury - The Nursery class will be closed 23rd, 24th and 25th March 2022 due to staff sickness.
