The Lord Mayor of Oxford been called out for not getting the train to a climate conference in France.
Cllr Mark Lygo wrote on Twitter: “Off to our twinning city in Grenoble – France. Climate conference – at London Gatwick Airport.”
But resident Tony Brett, whose biography says he works in IT at Oxford University, replied "Flying to a Climate conference that's a pretty easy train journey @MarkLygo?"
He added Ox Labour councillors "never cease to amaze me sometimes".
Flying to a Climate conference that's a pretty easy train journey @MarkLygo? @OxLabourCllrs never cease to amaze me sometimes. This is worse than the part-time ZEZ full of diesel-belching ancient taxis that @CllrTomHayes invented. pic.twitter.com/LNapHyKW2T

Mr Brett then went on to wade into a further row about other councillors' green credentials.
Charlotte Baker, whose biography is given as director of charity Small Steps for Africa, added: "Just incredible @MarkLygo - you couldn’t make it up. Pls reconsider your transport mode next time."
Mr Lygo has been approached for comment.
Just incredible @MarkLygo - you couldn’t make it up. Pls reconsider your transport mode next time. I recently did an even longer journey from London to Geneva - it is doable and actually very enjoyable! https://t.co/oKb3FinmWv
