A new restaurant may be coming to Cowley Road.

Wok 'N’ Pasta have asked for planning permission to stick up a sign for their new restaurant at 183 Cowley Road, just opposite the O2 Academy.

The plans also include a modern reworking of the shop front and adding a new air conditioning unit.

The developers said: “With the current climate, the demand for retail premises has declined. However, the need for adequate restaurant premises has remained relatively constant.

“It is certain to be a positive addition to the local community.”

The business that has put forward the application is Swindon based company Strotram Ltd.

The lively road is also home to a number of renowned restaurants such as Arbequina, which was featured in the Michelin guide this year.
