Christ Church's Tom Tower was lit up blue and yellow in a show of solidarity with war-torn Ukraine.
Students, academics and staff at the Oxford college say they have raised thousands of pounds to support the humanitarian effort.
College spokeswoman Sarah Budzier said: “The Christ Church community, like all the world, has been deeply shocked and saddened by the unprovoked outbreak of war in Ukraine, and all members have come together to take action.”
Tom Tower, the large bell tower over the college’s St Aldates gate, was illuminated in the colours of the Ukrainian flag – blue and yellow – on Monday evening.
Ms Budzier added: “Students and staff have raised over £3,000 to send to relief charities, and on Monday night graduate students held a formal dinner in Hall to raise additional funds.
“Students and academics wore blue and yellow, and Tom Tower was lit in the colours of the Ukrainian flag to show our strong support for those impacted by the horrors of the conflict.”
Earlier this week it was estimated that two million refugees have fled Ukraine since Russian troops invaded on February 24.
Filippo Grandi, the United Nations’ High Commissioner for refugees, described it as ‘the fastest growing refugee crisis in Europe since World War II’.
Across Oxfordshire, people have donated tonnes of aid into lorries bound for Poland.
