The biggest gourmet food festival in the UK is returning to Oxford with a star-studded line-up of celebrity chefs and chart-topping music stars.
Foodies Festival dubbed 'Gastro-Glasto', is coming back to Oxford South Park this summer. It is the biggest touring gourmet food festival in the UK, featuring MasterChef champions, stars of Great British Bake-Off and Michelin Starred Chefs
Award-winning chefs taking part this summer, include: MasterChef: The Professionals 2021 champion Daniel Lee, alongside fellow finalist, Aaron Middleton, and MasterChef 2020 champion, Thomas Frake.
Daniel Lee said: “I am thrilled to be performing in the Chefs Theatre at Foodies Festival in Oxford this year. I’m hoping that people will enjoy a bit more of an in-depth and interactive explanation into why I cook the food I do, and where my inspiration for it comes from. For me food is all about bringing people together, and that’s exactly what Foodies Festival is about.”
The chefs will be joined by star bakers, including Great British Bake Off’s, Jurgen Krauss, and teenage sensation, Kitty Tait, author and baker from The Orange Bakery in Watlington, who’ll be creating show-stopping cakes and patisseries in the Cake and Bake Theatre.
The food festival has also announced its music line-up which includes, Hollywood actress and Masked Singer winner, Natalie Imbruglia, chart-topping noughties band, The Feeling, and new for 2022, Foodies launch their ‘Big Party Night’ - taking a nostalgia-filled trip back to the 90s, featuring some of the biggest music acts of the era, including: Liberty X and N-Trance.

Chefs from Michelin-starred and award-winning restaurants will be there to give the festival a distinctive local flavour, including: Chef-patron, Mike North, from The Nut Tree Inn, Murcott, Michelin starred chef and Great British Menu celebrity, Paul Welburn and chefs from Bhoomi Kitchen, the first Indian restaurant in Oxford to be recommended in the Michelin Guide.
The festival has also announced new features and a busy programme of events.
Celebrity chefs from TV’s biggest cooking shows will be taking part in 'Ready Steady Chef', competing against each other and turning up the heat in the Chefs' Theatre. The participants will be presented with a bag of surprising ingredients chosen by their competitors and go up against the clock the create the best dish.

The three-day festival will also have a chilli eating competition, wine tasting, a cook book shop and plant based cooking shows.
More than 200 exhibitors will showcase their produce, providing festival-goers with a fantastic opportunity to sample the best of the region.
Foodies 2022 will take place August 27-29 at South Park, Oxford.
