The Plain in Oxford is overflowing with flowers for Dr Ling Felce, who died in a crash on the roundabout on Tuesday.

The cyclist suffered serious injuries and died at the scene following a collision with a tipper lorry at the junction of St Clement’s Street and The Plain.

Ling leaves behind her two children, aged three and five, and her husband of eight years, James.

Lamp posts positioned on the junctions of The Plain have flowers attached to them while another in the centre of the roundabout is covered in flowers, poems and messages of tribute.

A white bicycle has also been attached to the lamp post with a number of flowers pushed through the wheels and handlebar of the bike.

At the base, flowers in bags and baskets have also been left.

One message left at the scene reads: “I never knew you, but I am heart-broken that you are no longer with us. You did not deserve to die like that. Nobody does. It was just horrific and I know sorry doesn’t do it justice, but I am so sorry.

"I can’t begin to understand what your family and loved ones are going through and I am praying for them.

"I hope you know how much your life matters. We care.”

Oxford Mail:

The family of Ling released a tribute to her on Friday.

Her husband James called her “the light of our family” and said the family was “devastated to lose her so young”.
