A drop-off point has been set up in Botley, Oxford, for donations to go to Ukrainian refugees.
Over one million Ukrainians have left their country since Russia's invasion on February 24.
British Ukrainian Aid and the Tap Social Movement have come together to send provisions to the Ukraine-Poland border, with the first bus leaving today.
The donations the organisations are seeking are:
- Food: Cereals, pasta, oil, sugar, flour, tea, coffee, biscuits, tinned food and other non perishables.
- For Babies: Nappies, wet wipes, Calpol, non-perishable baby food and formula milk, baby shampoo and maternity items.
- General: Toiletries (non aerosol) all clothing for men, women and children, blankets, sleeping bags, shoes, towels, bedding, utensils, gloves, scarves and coats, sanitary products.
- Medical: General use medicines eg paracetamol and ibuprofen, wound dressings, anti-bacterial and antiseptic wipes, hand sanitizer.
The drop-off site will be open for donations on:
- Friday, March 4th, 3pm-7pm
- Saturday March 5th, 1pm - 6pm
- Sunday, March 6th, 3pm - 6pm
The drop-off point is at Tap Social Movement, Curtis Industrial Estate, 27 North Hinksey Lane, Botley, OX1 0LX.
