Staff at a takeaway in Oxford are celebrating after being named Oxford Mail best Chinese 2022.
We asked readers to nominate their favourite Chinese - the place where they have been dining out or picking up their takeaways for years - and House of Tim takeaway at The Parade, Rose Hill, came out on top after we asked readers to vote from a list of eight final nominations.
House of Tim manager Kelly Chen said she was delighted that hundreds of customers had come forward to win them the title, launched to follow Chinese New Year celebrations.

She said: “On behalf of the staff team here we would like to thank all our loyal customers for their support.
“We are very proud to win this title and take great pride and satisfaction in this win.
“Hundreds of our customers filled in coupons in the Oxford Mail to vote for us - we are all very pleased.”
Mrs Chen said customers call into the takeaway to pick up their orders, or staff deliver to addresses across the city, including Littlemore, Cowley, Iffley, Headington, Blackbird Leys, Greater Leys, Garsington and Horspath village.
A major refurbishment at the takeaway was completed last month.
To thank customers for voting, House of Tim will offer a discount for a week from today until Thursday, Mrs Chen added.

There will be a 10 per cent discount on dishes for a minimum order of £15, ordered on the phone, or picked up at the takeaway.
Mrs Chen added: “Our food is always piping hot and we have a five-star food hygiene rating.
“Customers favourites include special fried rice, sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style, chicken chow mein, barbecue spare ribs, chilli garlic chicken pieces, and pancake rolls. I want to thank all our staff for their work - the whole team works very hard, from the chefs to the delivery drivers, and it’s gratifying that customers appreciate our efforts.”
Oxford Mail editor Andrew Colley said: “We’re delighted that House of Tim has been named Oxford Mail Best Chinese 2022.
“Hundreds of customers voted and House of Tim came out a clear winner.”
The main Chinese New Year celebrations ran from the start of February until February 15.
