EIGHTEEN trees or hedges in North Oxfordshire could be cut down or pruned back.
Applications have been submitted to Cherwell District Council seeking permission to either cut greenery down completely or reduce their size.

Here's a list of the eighteen applications:
1. Location: Cottisford House, Cottisford
Frances Jackson wants to cut down a tree as well as branches of a tree.
The tree is making contact with the roof and needs the right hand two branches cut off. A crown lift to a second tree will give a one-metre clearance between the crown and roof tiles.
She also wants to create a crown lift to a third tree to create a space for access to the back of the lorry shed.
2. Location: Centre Street, Banbury
Joanna Budniakiewicz wants to cut down a Weeping Willow.
3. Location: Church of St Mary in High Street, Charlton On Otmoor, Kidlington.
Karen Drew wants to cut down a Sycamore tree at the church.
The tree is 'multi-stemmed' in close proximity to the boundary wall causing some structural damage, casting heavy shade on to the front of the residence.
4. Location: The Gate Cottage, Caversfield, Bicester.
Mrs Bannister wants to cut down a Sycamore tree and an Elm tree.
The Elm tree has a 'heavy phototropic lean' and the Sycamore tree is dead.
She also wants a crown raise of some mixed deciduous to create road clearance and clear road signage , and a crown clean of some mixed deciduous to remove 'significant squirrel damage'.
5. Location: Snowberry House, in Fewcott, Bicester.
Mrs Mills wants a Crack Willow tree to be cut to near ground level.
She also wants to reduce a Field Maple hedge and remove three tagged stems to reduce the extent to which the hedge extends across the garden.
6. Location: Main Street, Mixbury
Eryl Tobin wants some branches pruned.
She wants branches of a Lime tree pruned back to crown by up to two metres in height and spread to clear overhead power lines, clear from touching house and affording light to house.
7. Location: Pettifers Street from Banbury Road to Mount Pleasant, Wardington
James Price wants to reduce three Yew trees. He wants one tree reduced by three metres, the second tree reduced by 2.5 metres and the third tree reduced by one metre.
8. Location: Ferndale Cottage, Milton
Debra Homewood wants a Yew tree reduced in size. The tree has hanging branches into a neighbour's property and is 'over fruiting, bringing pests'.
9. Location: Church Lane, South Newington
June Perry wants a Cypress tree and Red Cedar tree to be cut down to ground level.
The trees are beginning to 'split out' and the 'neighbours are complaining about shade'. The trees may have contributed to a crack in a swimming pool.
10. Location: Top Dawkins Farm, Wardington, Banbury.
Dean Cox wants an old hedge removed and replanted.
The hedge is 'sparse', 'gappy' and has a rat infestation with burrows amongst stumps and roots.
11. Location: Wykams Gardens, Banbury
Kenneth Quick wants a Horse Chestnut tree cut down.
12. Location: Cobblestone Barn, Freehold Street, Lower Heyford
Mr I Tomkins wants a Western Red Cedar cut down in a back garden due to its proximity to a property.
13. Location: Sundial Farm, Main Street, Wroxton.
Mr Woodward wants a Hazel tree crown reduced by 30 per cent and a Sycamore tree cut down to make space for surrounding trees and plants.
14. Location: Priory Lane, Bicester
Matthew Dehavillande wants to pollard six Popular trees.
15. Location: Wisteria House, High Street, Hook Norton
Mrs V Steel wants to remove a secondary stem of a Sycamore tree up to 1.5metres back to the main stem to reduce overhang to a public area.
16. Location: Beehive Cottage, High Street, Adderbury.
Mr Collier wants a Holly tree reduced in height by up to three metres. He also wants two apple trees reduced in height by two metres and one metre.
17. Location: Walford Road, Sibford
Sarah Gale wants three Hawthorn trees cut down.
The largest tree has rot through the centre and the smaller two trees have split in recent high winds and overhang in decking area.
18. Location: Old Stone Court, Church Street, Kidlington
Mary Lunn wants to reduce the height of a Weeping Ash tree. She wants to reduce the height of the tree to primary crown forks retaining the stem as a monolith.
