"He lost his life whilst working to clear trees during the height of the storm. My deepest condolences go to Jack's family, friends and all who knew and loved him."

His friend Hayley Bristow on Facebook said: "Not what i wanted to wake up to this morning, a very good friend for years been taken by the storm yesterday! Shock isn’t even the word , Jack we used to laugh about how our last names were the same but we weren’t related, when i was sad we used to go to maccies and order as much food as we could and then struggle to finish it, you helped me in a dark place when i lost my baby girl and i will forever be grateful of you! Rest in peace."

Daniel Aitken said: "Rest in peace Jack Bristow . One of the most kind and caring young people I ever had the privilege of working with. Somebody who always made time to speak whenever I saw him. Always upbeat with a story to tell. Still seems very surreal. Thank you for the memories mate. Thoughts are with your loved ones."
