A pensioner has been charged with death by dangerous driving in August 2020.
Following an investigation by Thames Valley Police Edward Hinchcliffe, aged 76, of Ormand Road, Wantage, has been charged by postal requisition on one count of causing death by dangerous driving and one count of dangerous driving.
The charge relates to a fatal road traffic collision on August 2, 2020 on the A417 at Ardington Wick, Wantage between a car and a cyclist.
Following the collision, 38-year-old man, Simon Chesher from Wantage was taken to hospital in a serious condition, but he died a month later.

At Mr Chesher’s inquest opening at Oxford Coroner's Court September, head coroner for the county Darren Salter said Mr Chesher, who was a head of technology, had been born in Hong Kong but lived in Wantage with his wife Catherine.
The cause of death was a serious head injury.
Police say His family continue to be supported by specially trained officers.
Edward Hinchcliffe will appear at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on March 8, 2022.
