Oxfordshire woman fined for speeding on the motorway in Somerset

A woman from Oxfordshire has been fined by a court for speeding on the motorway.

Lauren Devine, of Mathews Way in Abingdon, was found by Avon & Somerset Magistrates' Court to have sped on the motorway.

The court found Devine drove a vehicle on the M5 Junction 20 at 86mph, 16mph higher than the speed limit of 70mph.

The 24-year old was fined £40 and her driving licence was endorsed with three penalty points.

In the UK cars, motorcycles, car-derived vans and dual-purpose vehicles are subject to a 70mph limit on motorways.
