A DOG which was left without the use of its back legs has become a viral sensation.

Tyson the eight-year-old staffie cross had emergency spine surgery to remove a herniated disc last month.

Tyson’s owner, Becca Godwin, said the surgery was complicated as the disc had attached itself to the bone and all the tissue around the spine.

“Tyson is now on TikTok, we started it a couple of weeks ago and we now have over 3,000 followers,” said Ms Godwin.

“He’s recovering really well. He’s allowed three 10-minute walks a day, which he adores.

“He’s still wobbly every now and then but he’s building strength up fast.

“Our GoFundMe has now raised £1,065 out of the goal of £2,500, and we are still asking for donations to help if people can.”

The Oxford family was faced with an £8,000 vet’s bill, although it is hoped insurance will cover £6,000 of that.
