A man will appear before a crown court judge next month accused of killing another on the roads.
Jordan Wall, 25, is said to have driven the 2007-plate Ford Transit Connect van dangerously on Thorney Leys, Witney, when he caused the death of Matthew Hammonds, a Carterton man in his 20s.
Prosecutors also claim he drove the van dangerously between Ducklington Lane and Welch Way, Witney, on July 11, 2020.
Appearing before Oxford Magistrates’ Court, Wall, of Hawthorn Road, Eynsham, pleaded not guilty to causing death by dangerous driving, affray and dangerous driving.
The magistrates bailed him to appear before the crown court on March 14 for a plea and trial preparation hearing.
- In a previous version of this story we described Mr Hammonds, the alleged victim of the death by dangerous driving charge, as a pedestrian. Thames Valley Police has confirmed he was a passenger in the Transit van. We are happy to correct the earlier story.
